Position Overview

This is a critical role to supporting a variety of clients. The Account Strategist supports the Account Manager in providing marketing strategy and direction for clients. The ideal candidate will be solutions-oriented, collaborative, innovative and eager to tackle business challenges and creative opportunities, serving as the clients’ marketing strategy lead. This position requires a strong foundation in cross-channel marketing strategies. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Manager and clients to deliver on business objectives, demonstrating an understanding of the business and category with a caring and confident presence
  • Ability to see the big picture, demonstrates proactive and strategic thinking for marketing campaign planning with clients and internal agency teams
  • Act as a highly collaborative partner for content, media, creative and analytics, striving for integrated thinking and problem solving, in addition to impactful reporting and results
  • Provide clear and actionable insights and direction to internal agency teams in order to deliver upon client needs 
  • Develop presentations, strategic POVs, campaign briefs and trend reports to inspire and support creative, media and client decisions
  • Contribute to agency intelligence through culture mining and industry-relevant thought leadership for continued development 
  • Collaborate with internal agency teams to manage qualitative and quantitative research and analytics, from planning through presentation
  • Manage short and long-term metrics to monitor client success 


Required Experience, Education, Demonstrated Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency,  Corporate marketing or consulting. Strategic marketing planning for local companies a plus.  
  • Experience with cross-channel marketing strategies (digital, social, traditional channels)
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information between internal product teams and external clients
  • Must demonstrate strategic and creative thinking when solving problems
  • Confident and effective communicator, able to challenge and champion ideas
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Passion for trend-watching and cultural insights
  • Strong relationship management skills – both internal and client-facing
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a dynamic environment
